Triathlon England South East has a comprehensive offering for children of all abilities in the region.

 

20 MAY 2008 - CRAWLEY K2 LEISURE CENTRE

Corus Kids of Steel is a series of triathlon event for kids between the ages of 8-13. The events are about having fun, having a go and trying your best.

Triathlon is a fun sport where you get to swim, bike and run-in that order and without stopping in between.

Over 10,000 children will take part in the Corus Kids of Steel triathlon events this year, don't miss your chance to give it a try. You can take part with your school or on your own. The event is open to all children between the ages of 8 – 13.

Check if your school is participating and if not, tell them about it – we can send your school a schools pack, containing further information, posters and leaflets. Email us at katvalk@britishtriathlon.org to request further information.

A competitor’s age is taken as of the 31/12/2008 and not age on race day.


The Tri star category is non competitive, there will be no series places or prizes.


To be eligible to compete in the South East Series and to represent the region at the  IRC's, athletes must either live in or be an active member of a BT club affiliated to the region.

Athletes may only represent one region in any one year and must represent the same   region in Aquathlon and Triathlon.

 

JUNIOR OPEN WATER SWIMMING AT LIQUID LEISURE

British Triathlon South East and London region in association with TriSportCoaching are pleased to announce five open water training days for all junior athletes. This is to coincide with the first official open water swim for juniors at Dorney Lake in July.


Thanks to Mike Trees of Triathlon Consultants and 2XU our juniors will be able to swim and practice their open water technique at liquid leisure in Datchet.  These sessions will be coached by the South East and London Regional Coaches. Youth from the London Region will also be joining us for these sessions. The dates are as follows:

3rd and 10th May 2008

7th and 14th June 2008

5th July 2008

The cost for each session is £3.50.  TriSport Coaching will have some 2XU wetsuits available for hire with an option to purchase. The start time is 6.00am and the session runs for approximately 1 hour.
